前任香港大学助理教授(研究),双主修经济学及社会学,在1993年完成社会学硕士学位,研究性别主义及后现代主义,论文题目为The Gender Bias and Social Theory;1999年完成社会学博士学位,论文为“香港新纪元运动”(New Age Movement ,现时多称为“身心灵”).

2019年正式开办《生命教练团队证书课程》,致力推动生命志工的培育。有关课程亦正式纳入社联辖下的社企商业中心编制及审核的“社企指南”之内。郑博士亦为注册企业教练、注册个人教练,获得生命领袖证书、生命教练证书。

2017年开始分别出任“传承学院”首席家族教练及客席讲师,赛马会更生教练课程总教练,亦出任教育及心理顾问中心“越己堂”生命教育导师及教练。早前曾开办不公开招生的《生命教练私塾》,2018年完成撰写《生命教练秘笈》。

曾为多份报章及杂志撰写专栏,包括《信报》、《东方日报》、《太阳报》、《香港商报》、《招职》,亦早在 2001 年开始为《招职》撰写《富爸爸》系列,亦曾是财经杂志《I-money》最受欢迎的专栏作者之一。

大学毕业后,加入《香港电台》担任助理节目主任,之后从事新闻工作超过十年,期间亦曾服务《亚洲电视》及《壹周刊》。于2000年,离开新闻行业,时任《亚洲电视》副新闻采访主任。

2002年加入香港大学亚洲研究中心,出任香港大学助理教授(研究)。在任内,郑博士统筹“香港文化及社会研究计划”,其中包括一套十本的《香港读本系列》的出版。

2005年出任医院管理局研究项目顾问,研究公共医疗体系收费问题,曾出任中信泰富政治及经济研究部特约研究员。又曾出任香港大学亚洲研究中心名誉研究员、香港人文社会研究院名誉研究员及岭南大学兼任导师。

2003年首次在香港大学学分课程中首次引入相学课堂,2005至2010年担任岭南大学兼任导师,主讲通识学分课程“知人口面就知心?”,是全港首个享有学分的大学相学课程.其后,郑博士发展出破除迷信、改变面相的《心相学》四个课程。

2012年开始在推动生命成长及社会服务的慈善机构“自在社”(Dreams Possible)担任义务生命教练,2015年开始出任特约导师及总生命教练,并发展出《知心术》(肢体语言沟通)研习班及《明心法》(语言沟通)研习班两个课程。

2002: Joined HKU’s Centre of Asian Studies as Assistant Professor (Research), spearheading the Hong Kong Culture and Society Research Project—including the publication of the 10-volume Hong Kong Reader Series.

Visiting Researcher for CITIC Pacific’s Political & Economic Research Division.

Pioneering Courses

2003: Introduced Hong Kong’s first credit-bearing university course on physiognomy at HKU.

2005–2010: Taught Lingnan University’s liberal arts course “Can Faces Reveal Hearts?”—the city’s sole accredited physiognomy class.

 

Later developed Heart-Physiognomy, a 4-course program demystifying facial myths and teaching intentional self-transformation.

 

Community Engagement

2012: Began volunteering as a Life Coach at Dreams Possible (a charity promoting personal growth and social service).

2015: Expanded roles as Lead Mentor & Chief Life Coach, creating two innovative workshops:
